Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his initial championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid period, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in particular - resulted in him falling of the top ten and finally separating with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set win over opponent Moutet.
It is his first championship after the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt after March of that year.
The win also indicates he has achieved twenty-one titles at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my both daughters together, so to win a championship is really nice," commented ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, including in that event in the past months.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and regular reactions on court had led observers to doubt if his ability to play at the highest level was over.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete aggressively, supported by an better serve.
He came back from a deficit in the first set against the difficult Moutet, winning 4 of the final five points to go ahead.
Both players traded breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his maiden professional title, gained dominance to push for a final set.
He saved 4 initial opportunities in a tight deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, the winner clinched the title with a shot at the net area, with Moutet unable to control a shot after a lengthy match.
