Local Law Enforcement
Approximately fifty automobiles have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Automobiles, exterior walls and postboxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.
Law enforcement report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a individual noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.
The substance had been drawn in the shape of a swastika, they reported.
Law enforcement then found many other smeared automobiles and house walls in the surrounding area.
These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws banning the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.
Police report preliminary tests indicate the liquid was probably human blood.
"At present there remains no indication as to its origin; officials are presently not aware of any harm in association with the event," they commented.
Municipal representatives announced they were working "to unravel the mystery" and have requested to the public for details.
A high-ranking official commented the incident left him without words and needed to be solved promptly.
"This event strikes at the core of Hanau and reopens the pain of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he stated on online, mentioning the murder of nine victims by a assailant aiming at people of foreign heritage in five years prior.
